Where is the ceremony/reception taking place?
The ceremony will be held in Dalen, near to Norrebro hamn – just outside of Torekov. The reception will be held at Ripagården – walking distance from the reception.
What time should we be there?
The ceremony will begin at 4 PM. We kindly ask guests to arrive 10-15 minutes prior.
When are the RSVP due?
We’d love to know if you can make it (we hope you can!). Please RSVP by 1st of July via the RSVP page on this webpage.
Is there a dress code?
In English = Jacket & tie
In Swedish = Kavaj & slips/fluga
“The jacket and tie dress code is more formal than cocktail and is very similar to lounge suit as it requires men to wear a suit jacket with a tie, (whereas cocktail infers a tie is optional).
Women may wear a cocktail dress that is shorter than floor-length, a pantsuit, or dressy separates to a jacket and tie event. When it comes to men, the dress code implies the obvious: a jacket and tie or bow tie is required. A suit, or a smart blazer and chinos is appropriate too. The suit does not need to be dark! Light jackets are suitable for summer weddings.”
THINKING OF HAVING A SPEACH?
That would be amazing. More information on who to get in touch with will be published shortly.
Are there other wedding events I’m invited to?
Everybody is welcome to our pre-wedding dinner and our day-after brunch. The pre-wedding dinner will be held on Tuesday the 7th August and the brunch on Thursday 8th August! Time and location will be communicated closer to the wedding.
Any other special attire notes we should know?
It’s Swedish summer! The weather can be a bit of everything, the ceremony will be held outside, the reception in a tent (the temperature does drop during night but it can be sunny and warm during the day). A rain jacket is not a bad idea to bring along.
There is a swimming pool and the house is situated by the sea, so be sure to bring your best fastest swimming suit.
In Torekov it’s custom to have a morning dip in the sea, and to wear your favourite bathrobe going there and back, another thing to pack in your bag for the full experience.
Can I bring my children?
We love ALL of your children, however we have decided to make this an adults-only celebration. We hope you understand!
Can I bring a date?
Oh la la. In order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. To check who is invited under your invitation, please fill out the RSVP form and it will show the list of guests invited in your party. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions!
Will transportation be provided to the ceremony and/or reception?
No transportation will be provided as the ceremony will be held a 10 minute walk from the reception. Parking is available at the ceremony and at the reception if you wish to drive between it is also possible.
How do I contact you if I have other questions?
We’d love to hear from you! Please e-mail us at petterandlinn [at] gmail.com with any questions, or just to say “hi!” We can’t wait to see you!
